A financial contribution to conference participation will be provided on a competitive basis.
Emerging researchers under the age of 40 years residing in a low, low-middle or upper-middle income country based on the WB definition found here: https://databank.worldbank.org/data/download/site-content/CLASS.xls.
Awards will be given to the first author or the presenter of the best submitted abstracts; up to ten awards will be issued. Enrolment is conditional on having registered for the conference. Abstract evaluations and decisions are at the discretion of members of the designated Sub-Committee for Travel Awards.
The amount depends on the pending outcome of an application to the NIH/US. In addition, New Zealand sponsors have contributed to the award. Please watch the website for travel award news.
Tick the respective box at the downloadable abstract submission template following the button on the website ‘Abstract Template’ http://www.ils2017.org.nz/abstracts.html. Submit the abstract, register for the conference, and pay the conference fee. Inquire for a fast track evaluation if participation depends on acceptance of an oral presentation or poster.
Sucessful recipients will be notified by 1 October of their sucess, however the actual amount of the contribution won't be named until the conference.
